Half way through the first day of 2011 and I keep thinking of the people that didn’t live to see the New Year. And I can only be grateful to God that He allows me to be here. I’m so grateful for many things, but most of all for life and the life of my family and friends.
I’ve been so blessed that I don’t want to waste a breath doing things that wont help me to fulfill my mission and my dreams. I can’t speak for anyone else, but my dreams are so big that I’ve made my New Year’s Resolution to be break them down into little steps that are far more attainable. But at the same time, I can’t limit myself to only what my mind can conceive, because God may take me in a whole other direction or add (or take away) a few steps.
I’m excited to see where this journey will take me. It’s already led me to paths I had never known. And while the unknown makes me … let’s say “uneasy,” it’s exciting to see what God has planned and how He’s always working things out. And I thank Him for that. So I continue to dream and walk into the light of my dreams. Because who am I without those dreams and ambitions? Who am I to dare walk this earth and ignore my mission here?
We all have a mission here. We all have dreams and desires with in us to help us fulfill that mission. And even though some don’t believe in making resolutions on Jan. 1, it is a great time to reflect on where you’ve been, evaluate where you are and make plans for where you want to be. And even if you fall short, at least you tried. Failure isn’t in the dream just beyond reach, its not reaching for your dreams.
If you’re ready to realize your dreams, pray and go forward.
If you stumble, brace yourself and press on.
If you fall, dust yourself off and press on.
If you lose your way, head into the light and press on.
If you get tired, rest and then press on.
If you get weary, rejuvenate and press on.
If you get discouraged, revitalize and press on.
If you get confused, pray and press on.
If you get led a stray, get back on your path and press on.
If your path seems long, praise God you’re still hear and press on… press on… press on!
