Weaving together the remnants of the wounded mind, body and soul
to uplift and inspire young ladies along their journey

  WELCOME!

Welcome to WOV'N. As a adult survivor of child abuse, I've made it my mission to educate my younger sisters – teenagers and young ladies – about the various types of abuse, recognizing a potentially abusive situation, getting help, self-esteem and recovery.

The idea of WOV’N is so new to many people, that I’d like to take a little time to talk about what WOV’N is on the outside.

Women
– meaning the three women on my team. My team is very dear to me because they were put on my heart, by God, as women are dedicated to God, the sisterhood and their own personal journey/destiny. Each of us has our own personal experiences that have brought us to this point. We have each grown stronger as women, sisters and as daughters of the King.

I hope you will take a moment to visit our pages and learn just a little more about us and our journey.

Of – sounds simple enough, right?  But just think about it. When you’re of something or of a group, what does it really mean?

Pronounced ev, the word of is used to indicate cause, motive or reason. It is also a function word used to indicate the whole that includes many parts.*

This simple little word is to be taken very seriously. When you say you are “of” something or a group, it becomes part of what defines you. Therefore meaning, that the women of WOV’N have taken on a virtuous lifestyle – body, mind and soul.

Virtuous Powerful: having or wielding force, authority, or influence…
Effective: Achieving or bringing about a particular result…
Righteous: Acting in accord with divine or moral law, genuine                        excellence…*

As Women of Virtue, it is not meant for us to worry about how possible it is for us to lead a perfect life. Our goal is to strive toward being our best selves, everyday. We are here to lead our young sisters, share our pains and prizes – our groans and glory – our tribulations and triumphs, as well as uplift them to be their personal best.

* As defined by Merriam-Webster Dictionary

OUR MISSION

The mission of WOV’N is to empower young women with self-esteem by building a more positive self-image, courage to stand up for herself, strength to keep herself safe and wisdom to avoid potentially abusive situations.

OUR PRAYER

Dear Heavenly Father,

Give us peace and understanding, not in the world, but in the path that is set before us. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, strengthen our spirits and mend our souls, that in midst of our struggle, we can find hope and healing. And in our healing, we can help others who are hurting to find healing. Bless us to bless others.

Amen.

"It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into a sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones."
